Civil War Union Army Officer. Captain of Company F, 74th Indiana Volunteer Infantry. He served from 1862 till June 1865, came home and resumed his law practice in Milford, Kosciusko County, Indiana. He married Mary Egbert, August 14, 1862 in Milford, Indiana. They had two daughters, Clara B. North and Mary L. North.
