Duke was a proud union worker in the construction industry for many years. Served with the U.S. Navy Sea Bees in Vietnam. He was a family man above all, he loved to fish, had a big heart for all animals and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Hicks of Watseka, his two daughters, KrisAnn Tolas of Nevada, and Katie(Chris) Coulter of Watseka, one son, John of Nevada, two grandsons, Jake Buell and Jared Tolas, one brother, William Kraai, and one sister, Marge (Bill) Roman of Wisconsin.
Preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Kraai (2009) and his father John.

Funeral service: 10:00a.m., Monday, July 22, 2013 at Forsythe Funeral Home, Manhattan.
