Gottlob Presler was born April 12, 1901, at Bersina, Bassarabia, Russia, to Gottleib and Rosina Presler. At the age of one, he came to the United States and settled in the Gackle, ND, area. He married Emilie Hartman June 18, 1922, near Gackle. They farmed in the Edgeley area until 1963 when they retired and moved into Edgeley. She died in 1977. Gottlob moved to the McLean Manor in Garrison in 1989. He is survived by three sons, Theadore, Alberton, Mont; Robert, Wayzata, MN, and Marvin, Rosemont, MN; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Lenora) Ross, Garrison; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter in infancy.
