Mrs. Willa McCord Wright, wife of J. Holland Wright, died in Nashville following an operation at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, February 12, 1932. Funeral services were conducted at the First Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. H. H. Wise. She had been in declining health for several months so that the end was no unexpected. Mrs. Wright was reared in Fayetteville, a daughter of the late Mr. Samuel H. McCord. She was possessed of charm, of a winning personality, and unusually gifted in a musical way so that there was never a more-loved woman in the town. Thirty years ago they removed to Nashville but during the intervening years her former friends here have remembered her with the most hallowed recollections. She was a devout church member whose faith showed neither variableness nor shadow of turning so that on her head now rests the crown of glory. The remains were brought to Fayetteville Saturday afternoon and laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery.
