Pvt Lenz was killed in action June 6, 1944 when he jumped on "D" day, with the 501st. Parachute Regiment Co. F of the 101st Airborne Division, back of the Normandy Beach Head which was still in isolated. Reburial services were held May 1 1948. Interment in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Plot in Maple Grove Cemetery.
The son of Max and Helen Lenz. His mother preceded him in death.
