J. Dembinski Dies Yesterday
Joseph Dembinski, 79, of Oak Hill, died at 1:30 p.m. yesterday (May 27, 1959] at Mercy Community Hospital following an illness of five months.
He was born in Poland on Feb. 24, 1880, and came to Manistee as a young child and had lived here ever since. He was a retired insurance man, and had served as township clerk, justice of the peace and held other offices in Filer township. Mr. Dembinski was a member of St. Joseph's church and the St. Joseph Civic club.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Jane; three sons, Frank of St. Johns, Carl of Saginaw, and Casimir of Manistee; one brother, Stanley of South Bend, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph's church with Rev. B. B. Roguszka officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel cemetery.
The body is at the Janicki mortuary where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
