Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) — Thursday, May 2, 1991

R. DENNIS BELLAMY, 52, of Memphis, teacher and guidance counselor for Bartlett High School for 30 years, died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital North. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. He was a member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, Summer Avenue Order of the Eastern Star No. 313, Summer Avenue Masonic Lodge No. 729 and Scottish Rite. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite, a referee and umpire for TSSAA and ASA, a volunteer for Boy Scout Troop No. 200 of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, a former Boy Scout troop leader and an Eagle Scout.

He leaves his wife, Margaret Colville Bellamy; two daughters, Mrs. DeDe Nelson and Mrs. Kathryn Binkley, and a son, Robert Bellamy Jr., all of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Gwyn McNutt of Paris, Tenn., and three grandchildren.

The family requests any memorials be sent to St. Stephen's United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
