Ella Manley Services Saturday

Mrs. Ella Luella Manley, 97, Armstrong, died at 3:15 p.m. June 7, 1973, in Valley Vue Nursing Home, Armstrong.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 25, 1875, in Genoa, Ill., to Mr. and Mrs. George Kesler, and educated in Genoa schools. She was married to James Manley on Feb. 28, 1894 in Eldora. They farmed north of Armstrong from 1902 to 1939, then moved into Armstrong where Mrs. Manley had lived ever since.

Mrs. Manley was a member of United Methodist Church, Armstrong.

She is survived by one son, James E. Manley, St. Paul, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Floy) Michelson, Port Townsend, Wash., and Mrs. Lloyd (Gladys) Eastman, Armstrong; nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Armstrong, at any time until noon Saturday, when the body will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 8, 1973)
