Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Presbyterian church at Armstrong for Otto Severson, manager of the Thompson lumber yards at that place. Mr. Severson died rather suddenly Wednesday evening at his home in Armstrong, of cancer. His last illness was of only a few days duration. He was but 57 years of age.

Otto Severson was born November 18th, 1875 at Valders, Wisconsin, son of Pitor and Clara Severson. Here he lived until he was 16 years of age when with his parents he moved to Madison, Minn., going from there to Chicago and later moving to North Dakota. He was married to Laura Dillingham of Granite Falls, Minn., on April 14th, 1900. To this union was born one daughter, Hazel. With his family he moved to Armstrong in 1919 where he has since resided. After a brief illness he passed away at his home in Armstrong Wednesday evening, Oct. 4th, 1933 at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 10 days.

Surviving are his wife and daughter now Mrs. Harry Bosworth of Chicago, three grandchildren, two brothers, John of Hawarden, Ed of Springfield, Ore., and one sister, Mrs. Ed Finklestein of Chicago. His parents preceded him in death.

At the age of 14 he was confirmed in the Lutheran church. At the time or his death he had been a valued employee of the Thompson Yards for 23 years. The pallbearers were managers of the Thompson Yards of this district. Those attending from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Will ?tnector of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bosworth and three children, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Sarah Otis, Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Dillingham and Mrs. M. J. Dillingham, Granite Falls, Minn., John ?gkalrud, Hawarden, Mrs. ?Mtelsnd-s, Granite Falls, Minn., Mrs. Oodbout, Fairmont, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Alexander, Fairmont and all the managers of the Thompson Yards in this district and their wives.
