A Gold Star Mother, as youngest son, Staff Sgt. Colie B. Arnold, was killed by machine gun fire on the Island of Luzon, Philipines, February 12, 1945, while defending our Country during World War II. Sons Arthur and Ernest served in World War I, and sons Ernest, Cecil and Colie served in World War II, & Ernest served during the Korean Conflict.
