Age 89, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather went home to his Lord on July 21, 2013. Born May 16, 1924 in Bayfield Co., WI. Jim worked in a lumber yard, tool & die shop, and was a builder and owned a fence company. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Marines. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and traveling. He loved supporting and entertaining missionaries, but his greatest joy was helping children. His home was always open to everyone. He was faithful member of Maranatha Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Rhea J. Sullivan; 2 daughters, Barbara J. Rhyne, and Jenet R. (Thomas G.) Cambron; 5 grandchildren, Jayne (Craig) Hatch, Lara (Abdoulaye) Diallo, Rebecca Cambron, Timothy Cambron, and Christina Cambron; 3 great-grandchildren, Calvyn, Carolyn, and James Hatcher; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Naomi Sullivan; 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday with funeral services 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 27, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Glen M. Ray, Jr. of Maranatha Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy, MI. Contributions may be made to Child Evangelist Fellowship in memory of Jim.
