She graduated from Strong Vincent High School and then was employed by Erie Technological for over 25 years until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Gehrlein in 1998, a great-grandchild Alex Bugenhagen, three brothers, Raymond, Arthur and Carl Drexler and five sisters, Lucille Bachmeire, Helen Schroeck, Anna Mae Taraski, Kathleen Mason and Genevieve Shilling.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Margaret Kovski and her husband John of Fairview, Lynda Crossmire and her husband Dennis and Susan Feige all of Erie and Laurie Zgraggen and her husband Craig of Florence, Ky. and a son, William Gehrlein and his wife Anne of Erie. 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Rita Katen and Mary Rose Hammer both of Erie and several nieces and nephews.
Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
