Mary E. Wallen, 89, of Dayton, formerly of Oxford, died Saturday evening, Sept. 23, 2000, at The Maria-Joseph Living Center in Dayton. She was born June 27, 1911 in Bybee, Ky. She moved to Oxford as a child and was a graduate of McGuffey High School. On Feb. 5, 1944, she married Emmert Wallen and he preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1988. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home, Oxford. Burial was at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
