William F. Wagner, 84, of York Township, died at 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Manor Care Health Services South. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Brenneman) Wagner. Born April 4, 1921, in York, he was a son of the late Harvey C. and Lillie Mae (Herman) Wagner. He was a 1939 graduate of William Penn High School, and a 1943 graduate of Shippensburg State College. He also attended Columbia University in New York City, NY. Mr. Wagner was retired as co-president of Collins-Wagner Insurance Agency. He was a member and Deacon of First Presbyterian Church of York. His Masonic affiliations include White Rose Lodge #706, Free and Accepted Masons; White Rose Scottish Rite Club; York County Shrine Club; Zembo Temple Shrine Club; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, York Forest #30; Harrisburg Consistory; and Tall Cedars of North America. He was also a member of American Legion Post #127, Sertoma Club of York, Republican Club of York, Victory Athletic Association, Hawk Gunning Club, and Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge of South East Pennsylvania. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater of Operations, participating in the Battle of the Bulge, and in the African Middle Eastern Theater of Operations and receiving a Bronze Star. Mr. Wagner is survived by two daughters, Jessica W. Henry, and her husband, James of York and Andrea J. Wagner of Denver, CO; and one grandson, Darrell Henry of York. He was preceded in death by a son, William F. Wagner, Jr. Funeral Wednesday at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, (formerly Baumeister, Orcutt & Small), York, his associate pastor, Rev. Nicole Richardson, officiating. Burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery with Military Rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. [York Daily Record]
