Sarah McLoud Kazar Foster

Sarah was united in marriage twice during her life-time: first, on December 26, 1833 in Milford, Ohio to Nelson Kazar. Sarah and Nelson re-located to Evansville, Indiana within the first year of their marriage when Sarah was 18 years old. Sarah resided in Evansville for two years and then returned home to her family, while her husband worked, until 1840. She remained in Evansville until her death according to her obituary.

Sarah and Nelson did not have any children that survived infancy during their 16 year marriage. Sarah was left a widow at the age of 32 when Nelson passed away on the American River in California during the gold rush.

And second, on November 18, 1851 in Evansville, Indiana to Judge Mathew Watson Foster. Upon their marriage, Sarah became the step-mother to Mathew's six children born during his first marriage to Eleanor, who passed away in 1849.
Sarah and Mathew were blessed with the birth of three children during their 12 year marriage:

M. William Foster
Sarah E. Foster
Lillian Foster Clifford

Sarah passed away at the age of 90 years old. She is interred with her second husband.
