Mark Alan Chaney, widely known local and renowned tattoo artist and musician, passed away June 15th, 2013, after he succumbed to the heat while walking in the Tucson desert. Hiking and biking were two of his favorite recreational pastimes. Mark worked out of his tattoo shop in Andover, Kansas, called Aces High on Kellogg, for many years. He couldn't go anywhere that several people didn't stop and talk to him. He loved his art and his ardent admirers! Mark lived life to the fullest, making many friends wherever he went. He was the the most colorful person you could ever want to meet. Mark graduated from Metro East High School, in Wichita, receiving a standing ovation, as the oldest person ever to graduate from that school up to that date.In accordance with Marks wishes, he will be cremated in Tucson, Arizona, his remains to be scattered in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Oregon, where he spent a lot of time walking on the beach with his son, Ethan, bonding and making sweet memories that will last forever. All are invited to a "Celebration Concert" with live music, date and time are pending. A memorial fun is being set up in the children's name. All donations, that will be used to defray the cost of the cremation, will be appreciated greatly! You may find out more details about the memorial concert and memorial fund by contacting his son, Luke Chaney.Mark is preceded in death by his father, Charles D.
