Catherine (Kay) Gilhuly Chapin of 193 Peddlers Dr., Branford, formerly of Madison.

Wife of the late John G. Chapin, Jr. and sister of Geraldine O'Brien of North Haven, Patricia Roche of East Haven, Elizabeth Foley of Branford, Benjamin Gilhuly, Jr. of East Haven, John J. Gilhuly of North Haven and the late Leonard J. and George T. Gilhuly; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Chapin was born in New Haven, October 27, 1925, daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Christine Riley Chapin. She was, before her retirement, a manager for the Southern New England Telephone Co., where she worked for many years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Funeral from The Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Friday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa's Church, North Haven at 10 o'clock. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
