Leathon Thelma Cheek, 77 of Pensacola died Wednesday, January 7, 1998. Mrs. Cheek was a native and life-long resident of Pensacola. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her twin sister, Lillian Velma Pickett; two sisters, Pearl Daniel and Margaret Ford; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Shirley Cheek; two twin daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and David Jones and Linda and John Hall, Jr., six grandchildren, Tommy Cheek, Lisa Cheek, Jeff Cheek, Chris Hall, Cameron Hall and Lindsey Jones; and a great-grandchild, Megan Elizabeth Cheek. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, January 9, 1998 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Haven of Our Lady of Peace or Baptist Health Care Foundation.
