Graveside services for Mrs. Pauline Boone Cooke, 77, formerly of Steele were held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 1985 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park, Tuscaloosa, Ala. Rev. Billy Skinner officiated with Sunset Funeral Home in charge of services.

Mrs. Cooke was born November 9, 1907 in Tuscaloosa County, Ala. She was the daughter of the late Isaac Morgan Boone and Norma Sanders Boone. She died Friday, September 20, 1985 at the Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Steele. She served on the Library Board and was a member and past Worthy Matron of Steele Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a former teacher and librarian of South Pemiscot School System.

She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Franklin of Northport, Ala.; one son, George W. Cooke, of rural Caruthersville; one sister, Mrs. Irene Walker of Northport, Ala.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Cooke, Sr.; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Vincent; four brothers and four sisters.

Pallbearers were grandsons: David Cooke and Patrick Franklin; and nephews: Rufus Mims, Skeets Boone, John Parsons, and Joe Parsons.
