Services for Mrs Nettie Hurry, 95, of 3224 Oak Hollow Rd, will be 10 am Saturday at Rose Hill Mausoleum directed by Guardian Westside Funeral Home. She died Wednesday in a city nursing home following a long illness.
Born in Holton, KS, she came to Oklahoma in 1889 and was a longtime resident of Oklahoma City. She was one of the first telephone operators for Southwestern Bell in Oklahoma City and was a member of Pilgram Congregational Church.
Survivors include a son, Floyd P. Hurry, Alma, MI; Mrs Noel (Allene) Harter, of the home; 5 grandchildren. 8 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma League for the Blind or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Visitors may call at the funeral home until 9:30 pm Friday.
