William was the second of four children born to Sylvester and Mary Annabel (Gasaway) Phillips. He married (1) Laura E. Brant in 1897 and they had three children: (Daughter) Florence E. and William Everett Jr. He married (2) Jessie Hutchings, no children, and then (3) Sophia Otino Olsen and from this union there were ten children: Christy Sylvester, Fred 'Buster' Alton, Charles 'Chuck', Henry Clifford, Norma Ilean, Ruth Evelyn, Norman Donald, Alene Adele 'Peggy', Mildred Louise and Anabelle Florence.

William Everett Phillips, 83, died Saturday at his home. He was born May 28, 1872, in Topeka, Kans. A resident of Lebanon, he has resided in the state for the past 50 years.
Funeral services were held today at the Huston Funeral home. Rev. John B. Houser officiated and burial was at the Lebanon 100F Cemetery.
Survivors include the widow, Sophia, of Lebanon; four sons, Christie, Baker, Ore., Fred, Riverside, Calif., Charlie and Clifford, Sweet Home; and three daughters, Noram Blaylock, Ruth McRoberts, Annabelle McKinney, all of Sweet Home.
