Mary Virginia Housley, 94, of Dayton, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the Rhea County Nursing Home. A lifelong resident of Rhea County, Mary was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son Cecil Ray Housley; grandson Nathan Housley; parents James H. and Ada Lela Harrison Housley; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by three brothers, Broyles, Johnny and Jessie Housley, all of Dayton; three grandchildren, Juretta Hale, Sandy Davidson and Reene Shook, all of Dayton; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. Rev. Marion Brock and Clyde Fitzgerald will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22.Interment will be in Spence Cemetery. Services are being arranged by Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
