She taught school and worked at an Omaha bank before her marriage to Carl H. Nelson Sr. Nov. 2,1935, in Norfolk, NE. They lived in Madison, coming to Fremont in 1939.
She was a member of First Congregational Church, U.C.C. of Fremont,American Legion Post 340 Auxiliary, Violet Garden Club, Univ. of NE Extension Club, Rebekah Lodge, & Fremont Area Retired Teachers Assoc.
She died at age 97, having been a resident of Arbor Manor since Mar 21, 1998, and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, in 1970, her brother, L. Nobel, KIA, WWI, France, in 1918; her sister, Alice, a nurse, of TB, in 1926, and a sister, Ethel Farner, Norfolk.
Surviving are two sons, a daughter, six
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
