Hazel Charlotte Burns was born to William B. and Mary (Maude)(Snipps) Burns on March 17 1902 in Crystal Lake, Hancock, IA. She was married to Lloyd Lewis (1919), Arthur Schmidt (1925) and J.C. Archer(date Unknown).

Her Notice of death can be located in the Summit/GlobeGazette in Forest City Iowa in 24 Aug 1961:
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Olson funeral home for Mrs. Hazel C. Archer, former resident of this area who died August 16, 1961 in Des Moines. Rev. Owen Gangstead officiated at the services. Irene Helvig was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Eveson at the organ. Pallbearers are Art Sime, Herbert Nessa, Peter Suby,Mike Wheeler, Morton Hanson and C.D.Fox.
Interment was in Oakland Cemetery.

Survivors include her mother, mars. Maude Thompson of Forest City; 3 sons, Lloyd H. Lewis of Belmond: Robert E Schmidt of Des Moines and Frederick of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter Mrs Arnold Rogitsch of St Paul, MN and two brothers, Malcolm Thompson of Forest City and John V Thompson of West Union, Iowa.
