Placement in this cemetery is found in "Grave-stone Inscriptions of Sandisfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts" by Elizur Yale Smith, 1939.

page 92 "In memory of Nathan Hubbard. Died May 18, 1788 age 82 yrs."

His wife Lydia/Lydea's death date and burial place are unknown.

There are discrepancies in Nathan's dates. CT Town Birth Records (Barbour Collection)gives his birthdate as May 4, 1709. Using his age at death gives him a death year of 1706. Massachusetts Town Vital Records give his death date as May 17, 1788 and Smith gives his death date as May 18.

Nathan Hubbard was the son of John Hubbard and Mary Phillips. He married first Lydea Judd in Waterbury, CT on 1 Jan 1735/6. Their children were all born in Waterbury except for Nathan (Jr.) who was born in Wallingford, CT. Nathan married 2nd Mary Hough (b Mch 8, 1715, d in Sandisfield Nov 2, 1812.) Nathan's daughter Sarah born 24 Mar 1762 who died 26 Oct 1764 was probably Mary's child.

Besides the children linked below, Nathan and Lydea had:
IMER/Immer/Ima (b July 30, 1741, d Jan 13, 1747) [There is a record that says they had a son David born Jan 13, 1747 but this researcher thinks that on the original record Imer's death was noted and the transcriber misread "died" for David.] Burial unknown, probably in Waterbury.
MARY (b July 28, 1856) (Source: Genealogical and Family History of Central New York by William Richard Cutter, 1912) Sandisfield original Town Records say "Mary, daughter of Nathan died Dec 7, 1787.

There is confusing information about Mary Hough. No marriage record has been found for Nathan Hubbard and Mary Hough. Sandisfield original Town Records say Mary, wife of Nathan Hubbard, died Dec 7, 1787. There is also a tombstone inscription in Smith's book that says. Mary Hough, mother of John, Nov. 2 1812, aged 97 years. Nov. 2, 1812 is the death date given in Day's and Cutter's books for Mary Hough wife of Nathan.
