Obituary from www.goerie.com with permission from her daughter.

Sara A. Ackerman Crossman Landauer, age 87, of Erie, Pa. left us on July 28, 2013 to take up permanent residence in heaven with her Savior Jesus Christ. Sara was born in Erie on March 10, 1926 where she met and later married in 1944 her school sweetheart Ralph P. Crossman until his death in 1988. She remarried in 1991 to Joseph Landauer who preceded her in death in 2012. Sara became a born again Christian through the ministry of the Street Church in Erie, Pa. and loved and served the Lord Jesus since. Her life was dedicated to the happiness and well-being of her family and friends, always a caring and compassionate person. She loved her sporty cars, and could be seen cruising around the streets of Erie with her beloved Shih Tzu Nikki or Angel peering through the passenger window. She graduated from Academy High School and raised five children while working in both camera and jewelry departments at Woolworth's Mason's, Millers, W.T. Grant, and Dahlkemper's. Her love for children sent her back to school for specialized training; she was then employed at St. Vincent Pediatrics and Erie Infant's Home as a certified Child Care Technician. She was a member of Erie First Assembly Church where she loved to participate in choir and annual Christmas and Easter plays. She also hobbied in ceramics, her crowning achievement being a full 15-piece Nativity set for each of her five children. She is loved much and will be greatly missed. Sara is survived by her five children, Christine Stubenhofer of Apex, N.C., Wendy Alloway (Kevin), Scott Crossman (Miriam), Janis Weyand (Jeff), and Jeffrey Crossman, all of Erie, as well as 15 grandchildren: Cheryl Palmer (Greg) of Apex, N.C., Ricky Stubenhofer (Heather) of Waterford, Pa., Michael Badaracco (Keri) of Charleston, S.C., Matthew Badaracco (Angela) of Waterford, Pa., Mark Badaracco (Tammy), Melanie Badaracco, Melissa Polacci (Anthony), Adam Crossman (Sabrina), Aaron Crossman (Jessica), Nathan Chandley, all of Erie, Jered Chandley of Orlando, Fla., Karah Jackson (John) of Harrisburg, Pa., Sandi Moffatt, Jacob Crossman, Casey Crossman, all of Erie, Pa. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jenah Elizabeth Chandley, and leaves behind 22 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc., 2502 Sassafras St. on Tuesday July 30th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Send condolences towww.kloeckerfuneralhome.com.
