Funeral services will be Friday, August 09, 2002 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Newby Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Williams officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Alvis is preceded in death by a daughter Ruby Summers,brother Floyd Alvis , sisters, Kate Hunt, Della Hesson, Katherine Barrett and is survived by a son Loyd Alvis Jr. of Castalian Springs, step daughter, Linda Rittenberry of Sparta, brothers James F.Alvis of Carthage.
