Miss Janie Claudette Brew, of 1614 Buchanan St., departed this life on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. Born April 2, 1954 to James Edward Mosley Sr. and the late Claudette Medley Mosley. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Mosley, a devoted friend, Milton Wynn "Kenny" and two loving nephews, Michael Anthony Mosley Sr. "Mikey" and Jerome Wayne Mosley Jr. She was a member of Immanuel Christian Church. In addition to her father, remaining to celebrate Janie's beautiful life are her son, Theodore Alexander Brew (Shanna); two grand- daughters, Danielle and De'Asia Brew both of Lynchburg; three sisters, Diane Parks "Bumpa", Margaret Mosley "Margie" both of Lynchburg and Angela Mosley Gray "Stick" of Kentucky; three brothers, James Mosley Jr. "Cub", Michael Mosley "Lippy" both of Lynchburg and Jerome Mosley Sr. "Duck" of Kentucky; two nieces; six nephews; and a multitude of cousins and loving friends to cherish her memories. A funeral service will be held 1pm, Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Community Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery. The family is receiving friends from 7-8pm, Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at the funeral home and other times at 1024 New Hampshire Ave. The cortege will assemble at the funeral home.
