BAXTER Funeral services for Jasper "Jim" Dillon Lowe, 73, of Baxter will be held Thursday, August 1, at 11 a.m. in the Baxter Chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smellage
Cemetery.
Mr. Lowe died Monday, July 29, 1996 in Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro.
A native of Putnam County, he was born March 24, 1923 to the late Ozro Earl and Ocia Frances Boyd Lowe.
He was a retired truck driver with Scarlett's Grocery in Baxter and a security guard with Fleetguard. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during World War II.
His family includes a brother and sisterinlaw, Solon and Anna Dee Lowe of Baxter, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Medley Lowe; one sister, Mary Opal Lowe Maynard; and five brothers, James Arvel, Julius, Virgil, Arden, and John T. Lowe.
