Inez H. Mayer, 88, of Cedar Landing, Elkhart Lake died, Sunday evening, July 28, 2013 at St. Luke Medical Center, Milwaukee after suffering a heart attack. She was the former Inez Feldmann, born May 3, 1925, daughter of the late Arno & Margaret (Fromm) Feldmann. She attended Russell School. Inez was united in marriage to Melvin "Red" Mayer on June 5, 1943 in the Town of Russell. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1970. Inez had been employed at Sargento Cheese, retiring in 1990. She was a former member of St. Paul's Church, Town of Russell and currently was a member of Community UCC, Elkhart Lake. Inez was a very active charter member of St. John's Cemetery Association, Elkhart Lake. She enjoyed listening to polka music and going dancing with her friends. Survivors include her daughter, Einale Mayer, Plymouth, sister, Doreen "Mutzie" (Arno) Miller, Elkhart Lake, brother, Ron (Kay) Feldmann, Elkhart Lake, sisters-in-law, Viola Feldmann, Elkhart Lake, Violet Feldmann, Plymouth, Berneda Wittek, Glenbulah, extra special friends, Patti & George Cedzo, many loving, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents & husband, long time special friend, Harry Breher, brothers, Leroy, Howard, Junior & Alfred & sisters, Luella (Victor) Theyerl and Audrey (Norbert) Lisowe (Norman) Burkhardt. Funeral services for Inez will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Community UCC, Elkhart Lake wit Rev. Doctor Ernest Huntzinger officiating. Burial will take place in St. John's Cemetery, Elkhart Lake. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 3: 00 pm Thursday until the time of service.
