Jerry Lee Abrams, 75, of Sebring, passed away on July 28, 2013 at Alliance Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on July 24, 1938 in Salem, the son of the late Raymond and Mary (Andrei) Abrams. Jerry was a graduate of Lisbon High School, served in the US Navy and worked as a cost estimator for T&W Forge for 47 years. He was currently actively employed as a site supervisor by Securitas. A lifelong area resident, he was the Director of Sebring Parks & Recreation for 25 years; a position that he cherished and loved, a part time auxiliary police officer for Sebring, a member of the Sebring VFW, was honored as a Sebring Citizen of the Year and recognized by Sebring Parks and Recreation Honor Roll. Jerry enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Sebring Country Club. He especially enjoyed his family and friends. Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra L. (Overton) Abrams of Sebring, whom he married on July 9, 1960, two daughters, Teri (Steve) Faudree and Robin (Kenny) Flowers, both of Sebring; three grandchildren, Kayla Heimann, Jillian Faudree and Murphy Flowers. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by an infant daughter Kellie and a brother Raymond.

Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
