her parents and siblings at the time of the 1900 census.
At the time of the April 4, 1930 census, Pauline was 38 years
old and living with her husband Felix on their own farm
valued at $4,500 (approx. $45,000 in 2001 dollars) in
St. George Township. They did not own a radio. She stated
that they were married when she was 24 and he was 26 years old

FOLEY--Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm, for Pauline Balder, 95, who died Monday at Foley Nursing Center. The Rev. Robert Harren will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Foley Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Foley.
Pauline Balder was born in Duelm to John and Johanna Kampa. She married Felix Balder Aug. 27, 1915, and lived in St. George Township, Benton County, all her life. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and St. Ann's Mission Group.
Survivors include a sister, Agnes, Crosby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; seven sisters; and five brothers.
