Cleatus Rex Crosby, age 81, of McLoud, Oklahoma was born on October 11, 1931, in Konawa, Oklahoma. He was the son of William Cleatus and Hazel Marie Degraffenreid Crosby. He left this life on Saturday, July 27, 2013 in McLoud, Oklahoma.

Rex proudly served first in the U. S. Air Force as a cook and then the U. S. Army as a mechanic, retiring in 1990. He married Sylvia Scates on March 23, 1955 in Roswell, New Mexico. Rex was of the Baptist faith. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening and his tractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Keith Wayne Crosby.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Crosby of McLoud, Oklahoma, two sons and daughter-in-laws, Tony and Paulette Crosby and Bryan Crosby of McLoud, Oklahoma, daughter, Debra Hunsicker of Noble, Oklahoma, two brothers, Donald Crosby and Curtis Ross Crosby, both of Shawnee, Oklahoma, sister, Lois Clowdus of Mustang, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, Jason, Victor, Micheal, Gabriel, Jessica and Heavenly, five great-grandchildren, Lilly, Zachariah, Audrey, Noah, Elijah and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, Oklahoma with Pastor Jerry D. Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, McLoud, Oklahoma.
