Son of Leonard Stout Hall and Jeanette McGregor. William was a practicing attorney in New Martinsville at the time of his death from complications following surgery for an abcess of his appendix. He died at noon at the City Hospital in Wheeling, WV. His wife, Sarah Pemberton, survived him.
