"Caroline Augusta Cooper Russell, widow of the late William Russell, died at her home on Chestnut street in this village, at half past ten Wednesday evening. She was born in this town seventy-nine years ago, and practically her whole life had been spent here. Her last illness extended over a period of nearly two years. She was of a quiet and retiring disposition, kind hearted and deeply devoted to the interests of her family. She leaves surviving her two sons, Silas W. of this village and John M. of Johnstown, and one daughter, Mrs. W. H. Yates of this village. The funeral services will be held at the home this Friday afternoon, the Rev. Mr. Conger officiating; interment in Lakewood."
