Mr. James O. Archer died at his home near Monroeville on Saturday, May 26th, after an illness of several months. He was a Confederate Veteran having served in Co. F, 36th Ala. under the late Capt. W.S. Wiggins. He was about 80 years old. He was married in 1869 and since that time resided one mile west of Monroeville. He is survived by his wife. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon.
