Paul spent his childhood in Ohio, Utah, Idaho and California. He graduated from Fullerton State University in 1942 for his Aircraft & Engine License. He joined the Navy and ran weather & surveillance missions. He made perilous water-landings. He flew high ranking officials due to his renowned abilities to fly safely through the most difficult circumstances. In 1947 he was a pilot for Pan Am Airlines for 30 years. He was called back to active duty during the Korean War in 1952 and was located in Guam with his wife. He retired in 1981. He was a Mason, a Shriner, a rancher. He had 7 children and 15 grandchildren.
