Daughter of John Turpin and Susan Bruce of Chesterfield County, Virginia. She was educated to the famous LeFebre school of Richmond, Virginia. She married Archibald Pickens Boggs in December 1858, and came to this city. It was during a brief sojourn in Alabama that Mr. Boggs died. Then soon after came the great sorrow of the loss of her brilliant son, Edward, who had just entered the practice of law in Atlanta. Survived by her two daughters, Katherine and Susan Boggs.
