Robert "Gordon" Freeman, 52, of Rochester, MN, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN from complications of cancer following a short illness.

Gordy was born September 21, 1959 in Perry County. He was a 1977 graduate of Tell City High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator in Indiana for a number of years and after moving to Minnesota in 1997. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and giving away the produce to all his neighbors and working on every one's lawn equipment. He also enjoyed squirrel and rabbit hunting with his dogs.

Surviving are his sons, 2 sons; his companion; his parents; siblings, two sisters; 2 brothers; three nieces; six nephews; two great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Helen(Jordan) Freeman and Vernon and Lily(Turner) Cravens.

A memorial service will be Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
