Guss Jones, 79, Easton, Kan., passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Country Care in Easton, Kan.

Guss was born January 2,1934 in Easton, Kan., the son of Charles D. and Fannie (Blankenship) Jones. He married Mary E. Jones, who preceded him in death.

Guss served in the United States Air Force from December 17, 1951 - December 17, 1955.

He worked for Gould Battery Factory for 28 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Easton, Kan.

Guss is survived by two daughters, Susan Nester, Leavenworth, Kan., and Cindy Barker, Easton, Kan., two sons, Kevin Lee Jones, Lansing, Kan. and Gregory Scott Jones, Kansas City, Mo., his brothers, Leroy Jones, Eugene A. Jones, Clifton Jones, Walter Jones and Paul Francis Jones and one sister, Ella Malondy, 12 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Charles E. Jones, Oliver P. Jones, John V. Jones, Gary D. Jones and one sister, Joan Roediger.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 5, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel, with the rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be held St. Lawrence Church, Easton, Kan., on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow in the Easton Cemetery, Easton, Kan.
