BERRY, David loving and devoted husband and father, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 12, 2005. He was born July 5, 1934 in St. Marys, Ohio, the son of Lowell and Mary (Snyder) Berry. David lived most of his life in Springfield. He served his country with the United States Army and the Ohio Air National Guard in Springfield. He was a graduate of Bloomdale High School and attended Bowling Green State University and Wittenberg University. He was employed as a purchasing agent for Teledyne Ohio Cast for twenty years and retired from Ever-Roll Specialties after sixteen years. David was a member of the Blue Lodge #100 Free and Accepted Masons in New Carlisle. He was very active in leadership roles with Junior Achievement, Cub Scouts, and Little League Baseball. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of fifty years, Sarah Berry; daughter, Janet Miller and her fiancé John Reilly of Enon; two sons, Joseph Berry of New Carlisle and James Berry of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Alison (Steven) Jordan, Kristin Miller, Lauren Dean, and Joshua Berry; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Pfeilsticker, Alyssa Dean and Steven Jordan II. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lowell and Mary (Snyder) Berry; sister, Catherine Jane Berry. David will be greatly missed and never forgotten by the many people who loved and admired him. The family would like to especially thank Mercy Hospice for their support and care of David during the last year of his life. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday March 14, 2005 in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A private service will be held for the family. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Mercy Hospice, 1343 N. Fountain Boulevard, Springfield, Ohio 45504.
