Jane was the daughter of Jacob Waggoner Jun.(1878-1868) and Drada "Drady" Sargent Waggoner (1789-1843). The Waggoner family: Henry 1, a Revolutionary War soldier who died in 1809, and his son Henry II (1758-1823) and wife Sarah, and Jacob Jun and Drada, lived in Virginia after Henry I immigrated from Germany in the mid 1700s.

The Sargent family were also in Virginia, from the early 1700s including William B Sr (1715-1768) and his wife Sarah Lea Sargent (1715-1783), their son Thomas (1734- ?) and his wife Anne Darby (1741- ?), parents of wife Drada.

Jane and Reason Lovelace Jr were married Aug 21 1834 In Hendricks Co Indiana, and they were in Illinois by 1838.

Reason and Jane had 11 children according to files on Ancestry.com:
