" William H. Barrett, for many years a well known conductor on the Connecticut River road between Windsor and Springfield, Mass., died at his home on Buena Vista, Wednesday Night, after a brief illness. Mr. Barrett was about 46 years of age, and is survived by his widow and three sons, who have the sympathy of many friends in their sorrow. the funeral services, to be conducted by the masonic fraternity, will be held, Saturday morning, at 10 o'clock."

(The death certificate gives the date of Feb. 5, 1891 rather than the 19th as on the monument, or Wednesday, the 18th as in the obituary.)
