Wilfred was one of three young children of Cooper Kirton and Emily Jane Nichol, buried in this cemetery. He was only two years and eight months of age at the time of his death. His burial is marked on the Kirton family monument, still preserved next to one of the boundary walls of the cemetery. I do not know whether the monument was originally placed in its current location or was moved aside following the Second World War in order to be preserved after being "lucky" enough not to be destroyed by the bombs which fell on Ta' Braxia, but in any case, it survives.
