"Martin B. Sprenkle, postmaster at Bair Station and proprietor of the Keystone Overall plant, that place, died Saturday morning at 5:50 o'clock of a complication of diseases. Mr. Sprenkle became ill on Thursday morning. He was 68 years old. He leaves three sons, Charles M. Sprenkle, York, who was associated with his father in the overall business; Curtis Sprenkle, Madisonville, Ky., and Edwin Sprenkle, Henrietta, Mo, and a brother, Noah Sprenkle, East Berlin. Mrs. Sprenkle died about two years ago. Mr. Sprenkle had been a resident of Bair Station during the greater part of his life. He served several terms as postmaster years ago and several years ago was named to that office again to succeed L. C. Bair. He had been operating the Keystone Overall plant for the past 15 years. Services were held at the decedent's late home Tuesday afternoon, burial being made at Bair's Meeting House."

MARTIN B. SPRENKLE was born January 29, 1861, in West Manchester Township, and has been a resident of his native township all his life. He received a common school education and began business for himself at Baer's Station, on the Frederick division of the Pennsylvania Railroad when quite a young man, and is probably the largest buyer of what in West Manchester Township.
January 16, 1880, Mr. Sprenkle married Sallie E. Martin, daughter of Solomon Martin, of Stoverstown, North Codorus Township. Two children have blessed this union: Sadie E. (deceased), and Charlee M. Mr. Sprenkle pays close attention to his business, and as a result of this his business is increasing every year.

Jacob Edwin ("Edwin") Sprenkle, born 27 Jan 1890 in Baer's Station, W. Manchester Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania; died 14 Dec 1966 in York Co., Pennsylvania.
