Johnie was the second of three children born to Thomas Marshall and Anna Mae (Delano) Bean. He married Maxine Louise Borer in 1951 and they had three children: Tylene Renee, Angela Kay and Jay R.

Johnie Bean Service Friday

A memorial service for Johnie R. Bean of Riverton will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home. A eulogy for Mr. Bean will be given by Bernie Harris of Riverton. Cremation rites will be held in Billings, Montana. Johnie R. Bean died Tuesday afternoon 15 miles north of Shoshoni during a fishing trip in the Wind River Canyon. Mr. Bean was born January 31, 1928 in Deaver, Wyoming. He was the son of Thomas M. and Anne Delano Bean. His parents preceded him in death. He married the former Maxine Louis (*Louise) Borer on June 15, 1951 in Big timber, Montana. Mr. Bean was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. The Bean family cane (*came) to Riverton 10 years ago from Forsyth, Montana. Mr. Bean was a member of Veteran's of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Fleet Reserve and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Maxine; one son, Jay R. Bean, who is serving in the U.S. Navy at Northfolk, Virginia, and daughters, Tylene Peacock of Woodsfield, Ohio and Angela Kay Montz of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are six grandchildren. Two brothers proceeded him in death. The family request those who wish may give memorials in Mr. Bean's name to the Cancer Fund.
