Walter Blease "W.B." Ethridge Jr., 73, died Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.

Mr. Ethridge was born November 23, 1939, a son of the late Walter Blease Ethridge Sr. and Dorothy Corine Elliott Ethridge.

Mr. Ethridge grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School. He was the owner of W.B. Ethridge, Jr. Masonry and a founding member of the Lucky 13 Hunting Club. He was a member of Piney Forest Baptist Church, where he was a former Brotherhood Director.

He was survived by his wife, Nina McConnell Ethridge of Andrews; a son, Greg Ethridge of Andrews; two daughters, Gina E. (Ralph) Bauer and Nancy (Jason) Cooper, both of Andrews; four grandchildren, Jeremy Alford, and Zachary (Kayla), Makinley, and Maddux Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Kaydn and Braydn Cooper; and four sisters, Corine Mixon and Bobbie (Dan) Newton, both of Andrews, Geraldine Filiberti of Mount Pleasant, and Dale (Howard) Wallace of Winston-Salem, N.C.

Funeral services were Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Piney Forest Baptist Church. The Rev. Craig Stephenson and the Rev. Jerry Cox officiated.

Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, followed in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
