Thelma Blanche Lee, 90, of Montpelier, Ohio passed away early Thursday July 21, 2011 at Evergreen Manor Rehabilitation and Care Center, Montpelier, where she had been a six year resident.

She was born July 3, 1921 at Montpelier, Ohio to Fern F. (Woolf) and Ora B. Allman and had been a lifelong Montpelier area resident. A 1939 graduate of Montpelier High School, Thelma was a former secretary at Lincoln Life Insurance Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana until her marriage to Denver E. Lee on May 11, 1947 at Montpelier. and he survives. Also from 1965 until retirement, she had been bookkeeper for the family plumbing and heating business.

She was an active member of West Bethesda Presbyterian Church for many years having served as an Elder and Church School Teacher. She was a member of Presbyterian Women's Association, the Williams County Extension Homemakers Club, had served for over 25 years as a volunteer at the Church Women United Thrift Shop in Bryan, and had done service work at Heifer International Ranch at Perryville, Arkansas.

Surviving in addition to her husband is one son, Roger Lee (and fiancée Sara David), Angola, IN; one daughter, Patricia (Robert) Hofbauer, Montpelier; two grandchildren, Corey Lee of Pulaski, Tennessee and Katrina Hofbauer (Brian) Douglass of Gainesville, Virginia. Two brothers, Orlando Allman, Montpelier; and, Leland (Barbara) Allman, Springfield, Tennessee. One sister, Betty Houghton, Auburn, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were an infant sister, Mary Jane Allman and a brother John Allman.

Visitation for Thelma Blanche Lee will be in Wilson – Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street, Montpelier, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2011. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 25. 2011 at West Bethesda Presbyterian Church near Montpelier, with Revered Tawee Layraman officiating. Burial will precede in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier. Suggested memorials are to West Bethesda Presbyterian Church or the Activity Fund at Evergreen Manor Rehabilitation and Care Center.
