Funeral services for Garrett Grant will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1996 at noon at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Bay City with Rev. L. V. Harvey officiating.
Burial will follow at East view Cemetery in Bay City.
Garrett Lee Grant was born to Joseph Grant and Mamie Bedford on Dec. 30, 1912 in the Houston area and attended public school there.
He was preceded in death by two wives five of his six children and his parents.
His earthly journey ended on Sept. 14, 1996 at Bay Villa Nursing Home in Bay City. He leaves beautiful memories in his loving daughter and son-in-law and 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Grant will lie in state from 11 a. m. to noon at the church. Visitation will be Sept. 17 until 9 p. m. at Green's Mortuary.
Green's Mortuary in Bay City is in charge of the arrangements.
