A Funeral Ceremony for Jessie Leola Gilliland of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 29, 2012, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Tom Fox officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Leola passed away July 24, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90. She was born August 29, 1921, in Gassville, Arkansas, the daughter of Lee and Minnie Irene Marler Coffee. She married Gordon "Bull" Gilliland on November 4, 1939 at Noble, Missouri and worked as a Postmistress for the Cotter Post Office. She was a lifetime resident of Cotter and Gassville and graduated from Cotter High School. Leola is survived by her daughter, Aletha Gilliland Lackey of Cotter, AR; 3 grandchildren, Melanie Hall-Treat of Mountain Home, AR, Nathan Gordan Gilliland of Cotter, AR and Valerie Anderson of Cotter, AR and 8 great-grandchildren, Myca, Myia, Korben, Kamdyn, Kyllee, Delanie, Austin and Brody. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and two brothers. Burial will be in the Gassville Cemetery, Gassville, Arkansas with Michael Treat, Kyle Anderson, Dr. David Johnson, Dudley Mackey, Brandon Taylor and Kenny Pierce as pallbearers.
